Guangxi Power Grid 220 kV Luluo Station put into operation, Beibu Gulf Power Grid network upgraded

On September 23, with the successful fifth charging of the No. 1 main transformer at the 220 kV Luoluo Substation, it marked the successful commissioning of the key project, the 220 kV Luoluo Transmission and Transformation Project, by the Guangxi Electric Power Company of the Southern Power Grid.

On September 23, with the successful fifth charging of the main transformer No. 1 at the 220 kV Luoluo Substation, it marked the successful commissioning of the key project of the 220 kV Luoluo Power Transmission and Transformation Project by the Southern Power Grid Guangxi Power Grid Company.

The 220 kV Luoluo Station of the Guangxi Power Grid has been put into operation, upgrading the network framework of the Beibu Gulf Power Grid.

The 220 kV Luoluo Power Transmission and Transformation Project is a key power supporting project for attracting investment in the Beihai Tieshan Port Industrial Park, and it is also a key project for the autonomous region's work team to promote high-quality development of the real economy. Moreover, it is crucial for the major project "Guangxi Oriental Hope Photovoltaic Glass," with a total investment of 28.2 billion yuan and an annual output value of about 38.4 billion yuan, to be put into operation as planned within this year.

During the connection of the 220 kV Luoluo Station to the power grid, it was necessary to limit the load of about 400,000 kilowatts in the Yulin and Beihai power supply areas, which posed a risk of large-scale power restrictions, making the power supply situation severe. The Guangxi Power Grid Company strengthened external coordination with the government and users, and internally enhanced collaboration among scheduling, infrastructure, and production professionals. They optimized the construction plan from multiple perspectives, including grid risks and construction processes, closely monitored weather changes and load developments, accurately assessed the connection window, and seized favorable conditions after the typhoon when the weather was better and the load was lower. They adopted a phased connection and night suspension with daytime delivery method, compactly arranging the connection work from September 11 to 14. All participating units in the project worked together, detailed the work plan by the hour, and completed the construction task with high quality one day in advance, successfully shortening the connection time from the original planned 14 days to 3 days, and successfully alleviating the risk of large-scale power restrictions in Yulin and Beihai during the connection period.

After the project is completed and put into operation, it will not only meet the new electricity demand of several photovoltaic glass and alumina enterprises in the Beihai Tieshan Port Industrial Park, injecting strong momentum into local economic development, but will also further optimize the network structure of the Beihai power grid, greatly enhancing the reliability of power supply in the Beihai power supply area, providing strong and stable power support for the economic and social development of Beihai City.
